I feel compelled to purchase some pedigree dog food and a citizen watch. I don't even own a dog and my wife would never wear a watch... Oh the power of advertising!
I liked the examples you gave, but I wish you had explained to me a little more why you think they are effective. What is it that makes a funny, romantic, or sad commercial or ad work? I can make my own assumptions, but I also don't like perfume ads. I think they are unoriginal and completely unrelated to the product. I don't like the Kay commercials either because they are so cheesy and unrealistic. So why do YOU think they are effective?
I really loved the pedigree advertisement. When I watched your video, I realized that advertisements have a really strong power. When I was reading some articles about abused animals without pictures, I felt sorry for them. But, I watched your video I feel really bad and I almost cryed for them. I thought that visual language is stronger than words, sometimes.
